I am launching a web design company that is targeted to dental professionals. That being said, I am putting together a pop up website for my brand to promote the launch of the web design company along with a special offer that we're making. A few things that I'm looking for in a copywriter: 1.) Creativity and levity in your writing. I personally don't subscribe to the "twisting the knife on pain" approach or anything that shows you're trying to be overly convincing or hyperbolic in your messaging. It's more about presenting an image of authority, being clear about how you can help someone, and showing that you are trustworthy and professional. The company is called Gravity Web Studio. I really appreciate some levity and cleverness in the copy as well. Using language from the dental profession and finding ways to creatively tie that into the messaging at Gravity would be a big plus. 2.) Reliability and doing what you say you're going to do. I'd rather you overcommunicate progress than stay quiet and not provide updates until the work is done. I also appreciate iterative work meaning you do a little bit of work, then check in on feedback, and then update based on feedback....as opposed to doing a lot of work so it looks "finished" then getting feedback at the end. 3.) Show don't tell. This isn't required, but if you provide an example of how you'd write 1 headline based on the attached doc in your cover letter, I can promise you that you'll be at the top of my list for selection. 4.) While this is a one time project, I'm looking for a longer term relationship for someone who is interested in writing copy for the dental field. That being said, if you have a background in either working in the dental profession or as a writer for dental professionals - that's a big plus!
