Job Title: Cisco IR829 Configuration Consultant Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced network consultant with expertise in configuring Cisco IR829 Industrial Integrated Services Routers. The consultant will be responsible for the setup, configuration, and troubleshooting of our Cisco IR829 devices to ensure optimal performance and security. Key Responsibilities: • Configure and deploy Cisco IR829 routers using Cisco IOS Software CLI. • Implement security measures and configure VPNs as per the organization’s requirements. • Support configuration of inter-VLAN routing as required. • Troubleshoot connectivity issues and optimize router performance. • Provide technical guidance and support to our IT staff. • Document configuration changes and maintain configuration templates. Qualifications: • Proven experience with Cisco industrial routers, particularly the IR829 model. • Strong understanding of networking principles and Cisco IOS Software. • Familiarity with industrial communication protocols is a plus. • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. • Cisco certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP) are highly desirable. Contract Duration: Looking for near-term support for IR829 configurations, with additional support configuring Cisco 2130 and 1150 assets. Successfully supporting this project work can result in long-term, part-time consultancy for general networking support. Location: Remote with VPN access to our Manassas, VA facility where IT technicians can assist with any touch labor requirements.
