Job Description

Reliable javascript/jquery developer needed for ongoing work.

This job offers the opportunity to be a part of a team that develop and maintain a SEO tool. The tool makes it easy for the users to sign up and post content (articles, videos etc.) to a big collection of websites e.g. Wordpress and Youtube.

The tool can autofill sign up forms (and other forms) on the sites in the collection. To achieve this the forms must sometimes be manipulated with js/jquery to work well with the tool. Your main job will be to create these manipulations and add them to a Database. Clear instructions will be given on how to do this.

So even though the posting says 'developer' you main job will be to 'maintain' a database and keep it updated with the js snippets that manipulate the forms. Without an updated DB the tool will not work well, so you will play a very important role in order to keep this project a success. The project can not effort any half commitment for this job. You must put an honer into being accurate, punctual and structured.

Besides creating js snippets and managing the DB your tasks will be:

* To go through lists of sites and filter out the ones that should be supported by the tool. Clear criterias will be given.
* To write short and clear instructions for our users. These instructions are just a few lines for every site, but that makes it even more important that you can be precise and clear.
* To help me out with js/jquery tasks on the project website.

The working hours will vary. In the beginning it will be full time 30-40 hours per week, but after a while it will most likely go down to 10-20 hours per week and once in a while full time will be needed. We can agree on a minimum if you like, so you can plan your time (and income). You will have influence on when you work and if you need time off we will work that out too.

To be considered I expect that you:
* Can work everyday 5-6 days a week.
* Are online most of the day and are always available on Skype.
* Can read and write English well.
* Are looking for a long term job.
* Are independent and that you can organize your own work.
* Can come up with solutions and find answers on your own.

To test that you know the very basics needed for the tasks please answer these questions:

* Explain in plain English what the following jQuery snippet does:

if (doc.location.href.indexOf('poo') != -1) {
$('#selecter', doc).click();
}

* SEO is short for?

In you application please include:
* Answers to the questions above.
* Your age.
* Reasons why you are the right for the job.
* Any previous experience with SEO work (not a demand).

Any standard applications will be deleted.

Now, if you want to be a part of a good team in an ongoing job with flexible working hours - Apply for the job.
