>System Administrator Position
>Support all aspects of the System environment (hardware, OS, applications). Provide system administration, operational support, problem resolution and perform hardware and software installations and upgrades as required. Provide Application and System health and performance monitoring including responding to production issues. Document standards, operation and technical procedures for the system (s) and acts as technical resource to Technical Support Group and Network Operations team to diagnose, remediate and correlate system problems. Participate in a 24x7 on call rotation and off-peak maintenance activities. Troubleshooting on hardware, OS, and application level. Perform other related duties as assigned.
>Baccalaureate degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent. At least 2 - 3 years in a production supported Linux environment, Red Hat preferred. Strong experience in scripting: shell, perl, python or equivalent from an automation and monitoring standpoint. Understanding of Operation and Maintenance procedures and Advance Troubleshooting techniques across multiple platforms. Experience in system implementation/integration within Mobile Networks and Comverse Voicemail System. Understanding of Mobile Data Application layer ( MMS, SMS, Voicemail, WAP etc).
Network Administrator II
>Network Administrator II analyzes the Core Local and Wide Area Networks to determine existing and available capacity. Performs technical network investigations for reported problems. This involves layer 1 – 3 issues with MPLS, Core switches, DNS, Mobile IP and Simple IP. Configures, troubleshoot and maintain Routers and Switches, Firewalls, PDSN, including FA, HA and LNS. Escalate Problems to external vendors as required. Identify root causes and suggest work-around were applicable. Prepares reports related to Cspire network capacity and circuit utilization. Perform proactive analysis and investigations to determine potential network problems. Design and execute lab projects in support of network capacity issues and augmentations. Investigates Core level network problems to determine root cause and provide potential short/long term solutions to avoid reoccurrence. Work closely with Network Admin I.
>Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or equivalent, CCNP preferred. At least 3-5 years of Telecommunication data networking experience in a high availability environment. Knowledge of LAN, WAN and Mobile IP archtiecture. In depth understanding of typical network protocol (VTP, 802.1Q, Spanning-Tree, VRRP, HSRP, NAT, QOS, BGP, OSPF, and MPLS), and Cisco ASR 5K PDSN.
