I've created a very simple iPad app that allows users (patients) to fill out a survey in which the data is saved to a TSV file. I am a beginner when it comes to iOS and Objective-C and do not know how to implement the following:
This TSV file is saved to the app's sandbox. I want to send this file to a server space that I have created over a wireless network. I believe the server is an SMB type (unsure exactly what this means). Login credentials will be required to connect to the server. I assume it will FTP the file over. This is all that I need to do for the app to be complete.
If anyone is knowledge with FTP/servers for iOS development, please respond for more info on the project and compensation. "I am a novice programmer. I have created a VERY simple survey app that stores
[myData writeToFile:filePath atomically:YES encoding:NSUTF8StringEncoding error:nil]
the data in a TSV file. Ideally, when the "Submit" button is pressed, the TSV file is sent to an SMB server over a wifi network (using login credentials). I've searched a ton and haven't found a simple example to model my app after.
If anyone could help I would deeply appreciate it--and let me know if you need any clarification or more info!"
