Job Description

Hello,

We are looking for an experienced android developer to create a generic wrapper application on Android, that launches a ChromeView to a URL that we will specify during compile time (you can use http://news.bbc.co.uk as a sample URL)

The wrapper should perform the following functions:
- Run on Android 4.1+
- Disable all hardware keys (power, back, menu, home, and volume)
- Keep the device screen on
- Enable JavaScript
- Launch on device startup, and open an index.html resident within the application - this index file should then try to redirect the browser to the predefined URL. In the case where the device has not connected to a network yet, the index file should notify the user of a network error and present a button to "Retry" [Note if you cannot do this, do not worry, we can provide the index.html and JavaScript libraries that perform this function]

The webview should not use the stock browser, but instead use Chrome/Chromium - the source for Chromium is available here:
