Job Description

Technical Skills

- Very deep knowledge of standard Linux administration in Debian and Ubuntu and/or RedHat or CentOS
- Excellent knowledge in infrastructure, firewalls and standard protocolls like TCP/IP, SMTP, HTTP etc.
- Professional skills in debugging, configuring and tuning standard open source service daemons such as Apache, Postfix, openVPN
- Practice and experiences with monitoring infrastructure and services like munin, nagios, cacti etc.
- Good linux scripting skills based on bash and standard tools like awk
- Basic knowledge of open source virtualisation technologies such as KVM, Xen and openVZ
- Also some Windows skills enough to support users with there desktop PCs
nice to have
- Experiences in working with standard email services like Postfix, Exim and Cyrus or other IMAP services
- Knowledge of any Collaboration Suite such as MS Exchange, Zimbra, Lotus Notes or Novel Groupwise
- Practice in other scripting languages such as Perl, Phyton and Javascript

Soft Skills

- Living in Berlin or nearby
- Speaking german language fluently
- Working times up from 8:00 am CET
- Experienced with customer contact
- Knowing that documentation is a must
