This project will be a long term project for the right person. We are looking for someone with a high level of attention to detail, web graphic design ability, excellent communication and ability to follow instructions as well as the ability to exercise good judgment and make solid decisions on your own. We expect you to work independently. This position will involve HTML, e-commerce site management, updating graphics and appearance of our websites and other related tasks as may be assigned from time to time.
Overview of the project:
This project involves business-to-consumer e-commerce as well as customized client-specific business-to-business portal websites. AJ Printing & Graphics, Inc. is a commercial printing company located in Northern California. Having had an established presence in our region for over 30 years, we are expanding into a robust online presence for e-commerce. Products we produce include banners, posters, display products, newsletters, business forms, business cards and letterhead, booklets, manuals and brochures, to name a few.
It is our goal to provide our users with the highest quality experience, provide them with confidence in our services by showing them a professional, clean and up-to-date website from which they can make their purchases.
Details of the Job Description for the contractor selected for this project:
--Visual appearance. Update and improve the overall visual appearance of the storefronts so that they appear modern, professional and as robust as any other competing web-to-print e-commerce website on the internet. Right now, we have a template appearance which needs to be improved significantly. You will NOT be creating a custom skin for these websites. You will be working within the tools provided by our host to customize and improve the visual appearance of the websites.

You are not responsible for editing which products we offer, the pricing, shipping or payment options. We are managing those items. Your job relates to visual appearance.
--Create web banners and graphic content.
--Edit item descriptions for visual appeal (text size, color, tagging, etc). We also have someone else working on SEO
Brief overview of the skills necessary:
At a minimum, the contractor we select will need to meet the following minimum skills.
-Prior experience in e-commerce websites, website visual appearance and website marketing are required.
-HTML and CSS
-Adobe Creative Suite
-English fluency is a must. You must be a 5 out of 5. You will be editing content on our website, and accuracy, spelling and grammar are critical elements that help build customer confidence in our service. Confident customers place orders.
-Excellent communications. We require swift, clear communications via email. Additionally, telephone or Skype may be required for us to be able to communicate about portions of the project.
-All work must be logged using the odesk time tracking tool. Manually entered hours will not be accepted.
It is important to note that this contractor will NOT have any responsibilities with respect to customer communication or order fulfillment.
Hours: It is anticipated that this project will utilize approximately 10-20 hours per week
