Job Description

We are looking for a reliable and trustworthy research and writing assistant to join our team on a permanent part time basis. The primary focus of the role will be to perform travel-related research (flights, accommodation), update our website and liaise with travel suppliers.

Required writing skills:
• Exceptionally high quality of written English (spelling, grammar)
• High quality creative writing
• Proofreading and content editing
Required technical skills:
• HTML (basic)
• CSS (basic)
• Image editing (resizing, cropping, etc)
• Facebook and Twitter
• Microsoft Word/Excel
• Understanding of basic on-page SEO concepts like META tags, H1 tags, etc.
• Experience providing customer support
Required research skills:
• Analytical and comparison skills
• Very strong experience using Google
• Experience using TripAdvisor
• Very strong mathematical skills (comparing prices, adding total costs)
• Ability to dig deeper to find the correct information
Required personal attributes:
• Communicates well verbally & good email etiquette
• Excellent phone etiquette
• Can take verbal instructions via Skype
• Able to learn quickly (very important!)
• Pays close attention to detail
• Works fast and can work to tight deadlines
• Trustworthy and honest
• Focused on deliverables
• Able to accurately estimate time required for projects & good personal time management skills
• Able to manage multiple projects at the same time

Infrastructure required:
• Skype (with headset)

Position details:
• Hours: 20 per week
• Type: Permanent part-time
