PHP / Wordpress Guru - Set cookie based on page view
We need a PHP / wordpress pro to tell us how to configure the below on our wordpress website:
(1) We need a cookie created for user's "State" (i.e. USA state location)
(2) If user visits a specific page on our website, set "State" cookie as "California" (or another state if it's on another page)
(3) If user visits a specific page on our website and they have a state value of "California", automatically redirect them to a specific "California" related URL. If cookie is "New York", automatically redirect them to a specific "New York" related URL. If not cookie value set, stay on the page.
(4) If a cookie is set, show this next as text on each page. Next to that text, there will be a "Select Your State" link that is always on the page (even if cookie is not set. If they click "Select Your State", they're taken to a specific URL.
Based on our research, this is possible. We just don't know exact PHP methods to accomplish this.
Bid a flat fee to accomplish the above. Note that ALL URLs that you need will be created. You will just be editing php files on our server and telling us what to input into Wordpress pages to tell wordpress which pages to set cookies on.
