I am looking to hire someone to design a user interface for a game.
This is definitely a thinking person's game! Distantly related to the game Mastermind, the player is given clues to help determine a random number combination.
When the game starts the player is given the ability to select the length of this random number combination (a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 8 digits) and whether to allow duplicate digits. If duplicate digits are not allowed, each number in the combination must be different from the others.
When the player enters their guess the game provides clues to indicate:
* Which digits are in the correct position
* Which digits are in the incorrect position
* Which digits are totally incorrect
The game has a counter to keep track of how many guesses the player has made. The object of the game is to figure out the combination in the smallest number of guesses possible.
To increase the difficulty the player can elect to limit the number of guesses.
The game will originally run on the web, in the player's browser, but in the future it may be ported to run natively on the player's computer in operating systems such as Windows, Mac OS X, GNU/Linux distributions such as Debian and Ubuntu, and Android.
The User Interface Designer is primarily responsible for designing, developing, and managing intuitive interface designs, graphics including a program icon, mock-ups, and layouts for this game to ensure a consistent user experience across all supported platforms.
Sound interesting? Let's talk.
