The Paralegal will report directly to the General Counsel, performing Paralegal functions of a variable, complex problem solving and responsible nature which require a significant degree of knowledge, decision-making skills and independent judgment. He/she will prepare drafts of various agreements, certificates and closing documents; prepare corporate organizational and operational documents; and case-by-case research.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.Provides operational and staff assistance to assigned attorneys; reviews and investigates factual matters and claims related to legal cases; summarizes findings and organizes by issue and claim;
2.Assists in the coordination of discovery and subpoena responses, including document review assistance and the development of privilege logs and other documents for attorney review;
3.Maintains files for active litigation matters and assist in the maintenance of litigation summaries on the status of all open matters;
4.Assists in the filing of corporate organizational and operational documents;
5.Performs legal research as requested;
6.Drafts correspondence related to transactional or litigation matters

•Bachelors degree required, and paralegal certification desired

•Experience working in international environment and international politics
Prior real estate or family/domestic law experience strongly preferred.
Bachelors degree required BUT CAN WORK WITH SOME ONE WITH THE EXP, and paralegal certification desired
2-5 years of paralegal experience in a high volume legal environment
