Role Overview
The role is suitable for a person with many years experience performing business development duties, who is interested in working for a fast paced company that is rapidly growing. We are an established company but this is a brand new area/department for us so we will require someone with the right skill set and aptitude to not only provide input and direction to setup and establish operations but continue in an ongoing capacity. You will not be alone as you will be working closely with the CEO of the business and there will be company resources dedicated to making this happen as soon as possible. The successful applicant will be enthusiastic, show initiative and thrive on getting things done in an efficient and organised manner. This is an opportunity to influence how the business development operations are setup and run and provide an opportunity to grow with the business.


Region and Timezone Considerations
- The initial target market will be Australia
- Our company head office is based in Australia
- As this is a business development role liaising with clients working in Australian business hours, the role will require the successful candidate to be available during a proportion of Australian Business hours


Key Responsibilities
- Be pivotal in new business development for the company
- Meet or exceed the sales targets set
- Provide a friendly professional introduction of the company and its services to new clients
- Provide superior customer service to existing clients
- Liase and work well with other team members to ensure efficient timely quoting to clients and for hand over of new client projects to internal teams
- Support Ad Hoc projects as required


Required Skills
- Fluent English speaking skills (prefer little or neutral accent)
- Fluent English writing skills to a professional business level
- Sales strategy skills
- Great relationship building skills
- Ability to prepare quotations and handle all aspects of the sales process
- Ability to take lead lists and cold call to introduce the company and its services
- Work autonomously and self-manage work load
- Be an excellent communicator
- Commitment to superior customer service
- Self-motivated, well organised and have a high attention to detail
- Able to handle multiple tasks and prioritise those tasks
- Professional, firm but polite, non-pushy approach to business development
- Utilise software tools (CRM etc.) and resources at your disposal to achieve or exceed sales targets
- Ability to liaise and work well in a team environment
- Ability to interpret client requests and liaises with other team members to prepare quotes
- Ability to write and prepare template documents, emails etc. for business development is required
