Job Description

I have a SkaDate project that needs to have the matching algorithm customized. A high level of proficiency with SkaDate is REQUIRED.

What I need:

1. To ensure what I am asking will be easily managed in SkaDate without causing bottlenecks in processing, I need someone who is capable of answering my questions in regard to how the SkaDate matching code is written, and how the matching process architecture works. I am proficient in PHP/mySQL, so you would be speaking to someone who already has a strong foundation in the language. I would expect to pay you for your time in this area, as well as any actual coding work.

2. I need the matching algorithm altered to meet my needs. I know exactly what I want, and having a few basic questions answered (see question #1) will allow me to provide you with a clear and detailed explanation so all you have to do is code it. At the same time, I need someone who is skilled enough to be able to foresee that I may not be taking the best course of action, and is willing to watch behind me to prevent me from making a decision that may cause disruption to normal site operations. (As we all know, what a client wants and what he REALLY wants are sometimes two different things)

3. I need a reporting/testing script that can provide output I can read internally on matching results. Specifically, I want to see scoring results for how two pre-selected members match. This will allow me to study the results of my new algorithm. This does not have to be fancy, but functional reporting.

If we work well together, then there is additional work of this same nature planned for the future. I would like to build a relationship that would last beyond this first project.

I will provide detailed instructions for how the algorithm should work. It's not too different than what already exists, but there are changes that need to be made. I will also provide an open line of communication so I can support your work any way I can.
