Job Description

Please look at the attached spreadsheet

You will notice that there are 3 columns called Price, Retail Price, Sale Price

This spreadsheet is a parts price list that we use in our business.
If you scroll down the list you will see that there are some parts where the Price is the same for the Price Column (Column C) and the Retail Price Column (Column D)
As an example please see Line#10552, 10553, 10554

Our goal in this project is to raise the prices that are listed in Column C and Column D by 5% and for these parts.

So the price for line#10552 which is currently at 80 will now be 84
The price for line#10553 which is currently at 105 will now be 110.25
The price for line#10554 which is currently at 134 will now be 140.70

When look through this Spreadsheet you will notice that some, not all of the parts listed have a price located in Column E, which is the Sale Price

For example, line# 14676, 14677, 14678 all have prices listed in Column E.
For Part's that have prices in this column E, we still want to mark up these prices by 5%, but instead of changing the prices for Columns C and Column D, you are only changing the price on Column E to reflect the 5% markup.

So the price for line#14676, Column C will be 2.43, Column D will be 2.43, but Column E price will now be 1.83
So the price for line#14677, Column C will be 2.43, Column D will be 2.43, but Column E price will now be 1.83

So the price for line#14678, Column C will be 2.44, Column D will be 2.44, but Column E price will now be $1.58

So just to be clear, any parts listed with pricing in Column E, this is ONLY Column where the 5% price upcharge will be seen. Columns C and Columns D remain the same as they are.
Also, if you are going to SORT this spreadsheet to complete this task, please make sure you sort on the whole spreadsheet as each Product ID, Product, Price, Retail Price, Category coincides with each line item. If you Sort any other way then you could possibly mess up which price belongs to which part number.
If you wish to see how these parts are perceived on the web, please go to our store
www.laundrysavings.com and type in any Product Name into the Search Field to see how the pricing is being displayed.
Please email with any questions.
