Maya Character Creation and Animation

Hi - we need some 3d character art for a game we’re creating. This will be the first of likely many, we’re trying to find a decent set of artists to work with as a start. Please have similar concept art in your portfolio online. It’s very possible we’ll need 25-40 of these characters eventually, so good work will be rewarded with more. We’re happy to do a down payment for teh right portfolio of work and we of course understand that art is an iterative process.
What we are looking for:
We need a fully rigged and skinned 3d model in maya for the characters below. The characters will be rendered to 2D sprite sheets using Maya and Texture packer so you should feel free to be as high poly as you would like. Ie, the 3d art won’t be included in the game - but rendered to sprites sheets and incorporated that way. As such, we can also zoom in/out with the camera to get our desired size.
We do not currently need particles designed or attached to the models. However, when weapons are mentioned an interchangeable weapon in the model would be useful.
We are shamelessly in love with and patterning ourselves off of the Behemoth title Castle Crashers. We love this game, we love the art and we intend to borrow very heavily from it. In addition, we also really love Kingdom Rush and Frontier Rush. Our characters will be a good deal larger than those in Kingdom Rush so a level of details a bit more like Castle Crashers is in order. The fact that both of these games are 2d and we’re asking you for 3d isn’t lost on us :), we’re hoping we can find some good people to make that leap.
