Audio Engineer - melody line production
Closed - This job posting has been filled.
We require a skilled audio engineer / musician to produce a number of melody lines taken from traditional songs
We want to layer some new productions with old school melody lines - an example of the technique we want to replicate can be found in Gotye's use of 'Baa Baa Black Sheep' in his #1 hit "Somebody That I Used To Know". We therefore want a skilled and efficient musician to produce a recording of each melody line from the following songs:
Old MacDonald had a farm
this old man
if you're happy and you know it
the wheels on the bus
bound for botany bay
click go the shears
i still call australia home
bound for south australia
advance australia fair
The recordings should be inhigh quality wav format, in a synth/melody line that will fit comfortably in modern hip hop production. Extra points will be given to producers who can also provide complimentary, modern bass and/or drum loops which will compliment the traditional melody line.
Any complimentry loops/cuts should be done in a style similar to Kanye West, Flume, or RJD2 - and MUST be funky!
Please do not waste our time and yours telling us who you work for, what your favourite music is, or how long you've been in music for... all we need to see for now to tell if you can do the job & decide who to interview is:
1. a sample melody line you have produced of any of the tracks above
2. an estimate for how long you think each track will take you (in hours)
3. a statement of whether you would be willing to work at a fixed fee (and if so, how much?)
Any applications that do not explicitly stick to the 3 points listed above will be REJECTED IMMEDIATELY
