Job Description

Project Goals – Redesign our customer order emails. We want to convey a brand that is professional, organized, fun, and customer-centric. The content and copy are already decided and described in detail. The main task is converting those requirements into HTML.

Budget and Hours – we estimate this will take 10-15 hours including major meetings and revisions. We offer a fixed bid price of $150 with a bonus of up to $50 for early completion and outstanding quality.

Schedule – we would want to complete this within one week of commencing a relationship. This would include time for multiple revisions (if needed).

Target Audience – our target audience is our US consumers. They are English speakers who are seeking good deals on furniture. They are likely younger and more risk-taking. These people have already bought from us so we want to reassure them and keep them informed of their order progress.

Scope of the project – The scope is to redesign four emails in total. Two of the emails are delivered through our Volusion website (html coding) and the other two emails are delivered through our Autoresponder Max account (html coding). We have detailed descriptions for the text, content and visuals. You will need to code the information, select appropriate colors, and design a header for the emails. The majority of the work is the html coding.

Available Materials/Needed Materials – We will provide you with the current versions of the emails and a powerpoint document that details the text, images, and visuals we want. We will provide you with login information for Autoresponder Max which you can use to create and preview those emails. We will provide you with the content of our Volusion emails but you will need to develop those off our system, and then provide the code for our tech resource to implement.

Overall style/look - We want to convey a brand that is professional, organized, fun, and customer-centric.

Other design tips:
a. The email templates must conform to basic HTML principals (tables, inline CSS, no JS, no external files -- it needs to be clean and simple from a coding standpoint)
b. Pixel width should be no more than 550 - 600 pixels
c. Include a snip it of text at the top (mobile readers and people that don't have images viewable, can still see this and this copy is important)
d. Use alt tags in your images
e. Include this meta tag in the header code to ensure it's responsive on mobile (http://webdesign.tutsplus.com/tutorials/htmlcss-tutorials/quick-tip-dont-forget-the-viewport-meta-tag/)
