I am looking for someone to work on an existing greasemonkey script that reads data from a website and posts the data to a php backend for storage in a mysql database.
The current issues are
- firefox crashes often possibly because of the way the greasemonkey script is reading the data
- It is required that you store teh database connection in a php session so that it can be reused
- If the php receives data that is exactly identical to the previously stored data it should not save that data to prevent duplication in the database
database dao framework used :
the existing php uses the following dao to communicate with mysql
It is easy to use, what is required is to store the connection in php session so that it can be reused to avoid opening and closing the mysql database connection multiple times
