Java Developer with EDI | Basking Ridge NJ | UHG
Resources will be working within Core Administration systems for the enhancements, revisions and configuration to claim adjudication systems and interfaces that include HealthEdge Health Rules
Health Edge services team, with 20 + resources based in Basking Ridge NJ.
Top responsibilities for this position:
Resources will be a senior-level resource on the team with responsibilities across designing, developing and testing commercial healthcare software applications. The work will be done using the J2EE framework.
Resources will work with system analysts to flesh out project requirements and design high-level system specifications, such as UML diagrams, data modeling and object-oriented design.
What software tools/skills are needed to perform these daily responsibilities?
A minimum of 5 years' related experience in a commercial software development role
Strong object oriented programming skills
Hands-on development experience using Java, J2EE, XML, SOAP and SQL
Hands-on experience with Linux and shell or other Unix scripting languages as well as with Oracle and other enterprise-class RDBMS, including experience with database installation, administration, and performance tuning
Experience working with WebLogic application server as well as deep expertise with Eclipse, Ant, Junit and Junitperf
Prior experience with performance optimization and troubleshooting of Java applications; working with complex
What skills/attributes are a must have?
Hands-on development experience using Java, J2EE, XML, SOAP and SQL
Demonstrated ability to work independently and within a team environment.
What skills/attributes are nice to have?
Prior experience with performance optimization and troubleshooting of Java applications; working with complex business application development projects and operating as a hands-on leader of small development teams is desirable
Healthcare Payer domain expertise is highly desirable but not required
