Debian Guru required for VPN server update/maintenance
Closed - This job posting has been filled and work has been completed.
We currently have a number of Debian servers running a VPN system incorporating MySQL DB, FreeRadius, PoPToP (for the VPN) as well as running our own websites with some secure SSL elements for customer portals.
We are looking for a strong Linux all rounder with experience of the above, someone who can undertake micro projects for us to maintain/manage servers on a long term basis, ideally you will get to know our company and can advise on best practice as well as undertake tasks to a very high standard.
We currently operate a proxy website called WOW VPN (wowvpn.net) and have a VPN server running with two NIC cards, currently one card handles all inbound and outbound VPN traffic while the other one does not currently handle any traffic, we want to change the set up so that all VPN users connect to one NIC card and all their inbound/outbound proxy traffic is handled by the other NIC card.
Once this change has been made we would like you to replicate the entire system set up onto a second identical server which customers will be able to connect to separately and interdependently of the first server. The basic server set up is PoPToP (for the VPN) and FreeRadius which talks to a MySQL DB on another server (for authentication.
Other experience in services such as NAGIOS would be highly desirable, we are based in London, UK so if you are also in the UK that would be desirable but not essential.
