Job Description

We would like to use Alfresco platform to improve our translation bussines.
We did some preliminary testing and experimenting with the platform (4.2c, open source), and we think Alfresco Share could meet the expectations.


Existing executors (roles):
Manager
translator
External translator/External Organization
client/Client Organization


We need customization to achieve our goals:

1. Define aspects and/or custom data type's to support translation business
1.0. Translation project (with attributes)
1.1. Document(s) for translation (different attributes)
1.2. The translated document(s) (various attributes) (relation 1:N to 1.1)
1.3. Invoice for translation (relation M:N toward 1.1 -
For example, it is possible to
1.3.1. generate an invoice for each translation,
1.3.2. but for some customers it is possible to generate invoice on a interval basis (weekly and/or monthly basis)
1.3.3. or for example it is possible to select the documents for which invoice is to be generated )

2. The method for organizing documents
2.1. Each of the above executors it should be allowed to only have access to information (documents) that are affecting it

2.2. Define the folder structure to support this

3. Monitoring users tasks - workflow
Make a folder and workflow rules to automate the generation and tracking of tasks for executors
3.1. Worklow to assign translators and approve their work
3.2. workflow to generate and deliver invoices to clients

4. Automatic generation of account attributes from documents to translation and / or translated documents (see 1.3!)

5. Reports for business overview
For example, the total number of translated units per client, per language, in time period, Tasks that are approaching the deadline

This is rather short description, of not so short task, so, if you have any questions, please ask!

Deliverables of a project are Alfresco configuration files, and instructions how to install them on plain vanilla Alfresco Community.

You must provide your own development instance of Alfresco.

You must be able to issue an invoice.

Exact budget for the project will be defined based on quotes that we receive.

Only provisional estimated end date is given, since we consider this proof-of-concept project. Based on results, further work might be needed (out of the scope of this project)
