We are seeking an experienced instructional designer to assist with the development of a series of online eLearning courses. Each online course will be multipart, self-directed, and interactive. The courses will be focused around RDA: Resource Description and Access, a new standard for library cataloging practices. The course audience is professional cataloging staff in libraries. Courses are expected to include instruction, readings, interactive learning objects (including exercises, charts, diagrams, etc.) and tests. The instructional designer will collaborate with our internal project manager and external course instructor to translate traditional instructor-led course material into an online, self-directed course. The instructional designer will work with our LMS master to load, configure and test each course in our as yet undecided LMS environment (considering moodle). Recommendation of the instruction designer will be considered in final LMS decision.
Please respond with questions, provide past experience and share your availability over the next week for a follow-up VoIP (Skype, Google talk, etc.) interview.
