Job Description

I'm starting a new e-commerce website selling ham, bacon, pork and pig themed products. I'll start by saying that I don't have experience with this so I'm open to any feedback you have on how to build a profitable business here. What I'm describing here is my guess at what will work, but if you have any suggestions or changes that you have seen work in the past I'd love to hear about those!

I need to perform a market survey, keyword research and identify outsourced order fulfillment providers. We will talk about the type of business I am hoping to start, including target markets, products and some competitors I have identified. If selected for this project, you will:

-Identify other competitors and what they sell with a sample of pricing across all competitors.
-Identify marketing outlets. This can include paid advertising, related forums or blogs, etc.
-Research keywords that are expected to have a high click through and conversion rate.
-Identify companies who will directly fulfill orders without warehousing costs. These companies should have reasonable costs of products and shipping to the US and UK.
-Identify companies that will print custom t-shirts on demand and ship them to the US for less than $16 USD, or to the UK for less than 10 GBP.

There will be two deliverables. The first will be a competitive market and profitability report; the second will be keyword research and marketing outlets.

The competitive market and profitability report should cover the following:
-Potential competitors, including a description, a description of their market presence and any differentiators you identify.
-Samples of products from each competitor, as well as equivalent products from order fulfillment companies, with a breakdown of average total cost (product plus delivery) of competitor's offering, and total cost (product plus delivery) from order fulfillment, profitability estimate.
-Sample products from vendors (not their entire catalog), as well as pricing and shipping costs and times.

The keyword research and marketing outlet report should cover the following:
-Keywords, their relative click-through and conversation rates (low, medium, high) as well as relative volume of traffic (1, 10, 100, 1000, 10000, ... visitors per month).
-Advertising outlets likely to be successful, such as Google, Facebook, Apple and others.
-Other marketing outlets that could deliver high quality leads, such as related forums or sites.

Is there anything I left out that I should be doing? Is there anything I shouldn't be doing that I mentioned? What do you think - how can you help me achieve my goal?
