Firstly, I have started working with public health research in a research project of one of the leading public health research universities in the world, Johns Hopkins University, USA. The project site is located in Bangladesh with approximately 70000 populations. I spent there 4.5 years and I was brought to the Summer Institute of Epidemiology and Biostatistics, Johns Hopkins University for a short training in Epidemiology and Biostatistics. Currently, I am working with icddr,b in one of the largest cholera vaccine trial in the world with ~300000 population. As a statistician, I have got opportunities in working with such large populations. So, some of my routine responsibilities are managing data, conducting independent statistical analysis, optimum sample size estimation for research protocols, and manuscript writing. I already have 2 publications from peer reviewed journals and some other are on pipeline to be published. I have expertise in different statistical software/packages like R, S+, STATA and SPSS. As I now find myself idle, I wish to utilize my skills in business development, contract writing and negotiation, editing, developing marketing programs and all round Corporate experience. I wish to work 15-20 Hours per week, not exceeding 4 hours per day. As the employment I desire is obviously internet based, editing documents, including complex technical specifications, service manuals etc. would be an attractive proposition. I am a Mechanical Engineer with a wealth of experience in industry of all sort. I am 68 years old, in extremely good health both physically and mentally. I am Canadian by birth and now live in Manila Philippines. Although there is a 12-13 hour time difference with the Eastern Time Zone, I am quite prepared to work to an employers schedule.  less
